From the moment he first picked up a controller, video games became a lifelong passion. The journey began in secret on the original Nintendo Entertainment System, sneaking into his father’s room to play Super Mario Bros. Soon after, JB and his older brother dove headfirst into the 16-bit era with the Sega Genesis. There, JB spent hours blazing through Sonic the Hedgehog and testing the waters with the famously brutal Mortal Kombat—a game he was playing long before he was technically old enough for its mature rating. While he explored nearly every major console generation—including the Super Nintendo, N64, GameBoy, GameCube, Wii, and various Xbox systems to play Halo—one system permanently altered his gaming trajectory: the original Sony PlayStation. From that era onward, JB cemented his status as a PlayStation loyalist, and to this day, he will always choose PlayStation for any multi-platform title.

When it comes to game genres, JB gravitates toward titles that offer absolute freedom or deep narrative depth. He considers Red Dead Redemption 2 to objectively be the greatest game ever created, masterfully marrying a sprawling open world with an unforgettable story. However, his personal favorites are The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II. His deep appreciation for these emotional, cinematic masterpieces has led him to replay both stories more than five times each, always ready to dive back in for another playthrough. While these narrative-driven epics form the core of his gaming identity, JB also enjoys a completely different kind of challenge in Dead by Daylight. This asymmetrical horror game satisfies his love for psychological strategy, thriving on the intense cat-and-mouse aspect where he can use pure mind games to outwit and trick his opponents.
